EQS joined the Headsquarter community in 2023 and is since then a valued member at "The Hip".

The EQS Team currently occupies a private office and has become an integral part of many of our community activities.

Sascha Meier, Country Manager of the Alps Region at EQS Group, accepted our invitation to share his experience with us so far.

What challenge did you face that brought you to HeadsQuarter?

Before joining HeadsQuarter, we operated our own corporate office for around 30 employees. At some point during the pandemic and the changing practices regarding office work, we, realized that most of the time only 2 or 3 desks were occupied at a time, which not only created a strange atmosphere but also blew our office expenses including coffee, cleaning, and all other attached costs completely out of proportion.

It was always our goal to create a space that our people really are looking forward to going to every day, but as a smaller company and with the new situation of reduced office presence, this would have been almost impossible to achieve by ourselves.

Was there something that initially prevented you from considering us?

Honestly, I found out about HeadsQuarter while researching another Coworking Space and decided to book a tour because I liked the looks of it. On our first viewing with Nico back in the days, we already felt the amazing vibe and were pretty much sold on the spot. The only thing that was preventing us to get a membership here was maybe the price that was a bit higher than the competition but, in the end, the reasons for us to go with HeadsQuarter clearly predominated.

What specific aspect do you like most at HeadsQuarter?

I personally really loved the genuine community feeling from the beginning. The promises during the sales process turned out to be absolutely true: most members know and interact with each other and you never feel alone in the office, even when your whole team is working elsewhere. 

Also, there is just a general positive vibe whenever you enter the office. The HeadsQuarter Team is genuinely passionate to create this special atmosphere, for example by going above and beyond when decorating the community areas for special occasions like Christmas or Halloween. So it’s really that little extras that have made HeadsQuarter become a "happy place" for all of us.


Which three other benefits come to your mind spontaneously?

There are many, but I would say:

At first: If you want to play an active role in this community, you can leverage the advantage of HeadsQuarter to actually shape your everyday work environment. For example, I am also a member of Soho House and a few casual talks at the coffee machine resulted in a close collaboration between both concepts that is beneficial for all members. I think this opportunity is a great asset, and also perfectly corresponds with our core values at EQS: ownership and creativity. 

Second: the Wednesday community Brunch. This regular event not only motivates everyone to come to the office, but also creates such a nice and relaxing energy also among our team members. It has become a tradition: Every Wednesday 9.30 we have a joint breakfast together, and I think that’s creating that extra bit of positive energy we need to excel in our jobs.

The third topic is the overall vibe around among the office, created by the HeadsQuarter team. Every day, we are greeted with a smile and a genuine sense of hospitality and personal connection. Each personal interaction creates a positive feeling and this something that really sets HeadsQuarter apart.

Which impact are you either experiencing or expecting from HeadsQuarter on your business?

The biggest impact we feel is certainly on our recruiting success rate: Whenever we hire new people, we see that an office at HeadsQuarter is a huge benefit, a value we were not able to provide before. EQS has a total of 600 employees worldwide, 30 of them in Switzerland so, it would be quite a stretch for us to offer yoga, breath work or community brunches or even consistently great coffee.

Thanks to HeadsQuarter, we can offer employee benefits that match the offerings of much bigger players and enable to compete for the best talent with the likes of Salesforce etc . 


Is there anyone who could also really benefit from working with us? 

Generally speaking: every company of roughly our size, that is struggling to create an atmosphere that makes employees want to come to the office. If you pay a lot of money for office rent and everything that comes with it and still no one likes to show up there, you should really consider switching to a place like HeadsQuarter.  It's so much more than just an office: it brings people together, creates a sense of community and, as a bonus, supports your recruiting efforts.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about HeadsQuarter?

Whoever is interested in joining: come in and experience HeadsQuarter for yourselves. I vividly remember out first Thursday Apéro, to which Nico invited us during our decision process: the energy we felt there was just insane. We instantly fell in love with this concept.
